The NFT sector has experienced a downturn as the cryptocurrency market weakens, with Bitcoin declining to $83,000 and Ethereum falling to $1,900.
The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has dropped to $2.73 trillion from last week’s $2.83 trillion.
According to recent data, the sales volume of non-fungible tokens has fallen to $109.2 million, marking a 7.84% decrease from the prior week. In contrast, measurements of market engagement indicate a significant rise in the number of buyers and sellers.
This week’s statistics highlight the conflicting trends:
- Sales volume decreased from $121.5 million to $109.2 million.
- The number of buyers surged by 697.00% to 204,693.
- Sellers increased by 419.23% to 133,708.
- Overall transactions dipped by 5.46% to 1,497,932.
Declines in Ethereum and Solana Volumes
- Ethereum (ETH) sales fell by 11.28% to $32.7 million, though the number of buyers more than doubled, rising 103.27% to 31,517. Washing trading decreased by 28.96% to $2.9 million.
- Bitcoin (BTC) saw a contrary trend, increasing by 4.63% to $22.8 million.
- Mythos Chain experienced a slight decline of 1.78% to $15.0 million, maintaining third place.
- Polygon (POL) rose by 1.63% to $13.8 million, taking fourth place.
- Solana (SOL) dropped 43.44% to $10.1 million.
Significant Changes in Collection Rankings
Courtyard continued to lead with $12.2 million in sales, up 3.63%, although its transaction count decreased by 33.56% to 93,805.
DMarket held the second position with $9.8 million, down 2.40%, while maintaining a substantial transaction volume of 316,386. BRC-20 NFTs fell to third with $5.6 million, down 23.41%.
Quantum Cats, a new Bitcoin collection, soared to fourth with $3.9 million, reflecting a remarkable 349.19% increase. CryptoPunks dropped to fifth place with $3.1 million, down 55.55%.
Paradise slid to sixth with $2.7 million, down 72.58%. Guild of Guardians Heroes secured seventh with $2.2 million, falling 32.65%, while Pudgy Penguins came in eighth with $2.1 million, down 11.44%.
