A statement from the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office detailing charges against Pavel Durov.
French authorities have accused Telegram of enabling illicit activities by not censoring its messaging platform, leading to charges against Durov that required him to remain in France under a bail agreement.
Durov later described the arrest as unwarranted and stated that the company has a representative in the European Union to address legal inquiries.
He highlighted that both he and the company would have willingly cooperated with French officials had a proper legal request been made.
