Binance Futures is set to introduce BR and PLUME USDT-margined perpetual contracts following the token generation event for Bedrock and YZi’s investment in Plume.
As detailed in a recent announcement, the cryptocurrency exchange will activate the BRUSDT Perpetual Contract and PLUMEUSDT (USDT) Perpetual Contract. These contracts will be available on Binance Futures starting March 21, with the BRUSDT debuting first at 12:45 UTC, followed by the AEROUSDT contract at 13:00 UTC.
Both perpetual contracts will provide leverage up to 25x and will support multi-assets mode. At the time of launch, the maximum financing rates for BRUSDT and PLUMEUSDT contracts will be +2.00% and -2.00%, respectively. The funding fee will be calculated every four hours.
Just a day earlier, an exclusive token generation event for Bedrock was announced to take place on PancakeSwap (CAKE). This event occurred on March 20 from 10:00 AM UTC to 12:00 PM UTC. Eligible participants received a total of 50 million BR tokens, which represents 5% of the total token supply.
Bedrock functions as a liquid restaking protocol built on BNB Smart Chain, enabling Bitcoin (BTC) staking via uniBTC. This feature allows traders to earn rewards while keeping liquidity intact with their BTC.
At the time of writing, BR has increased by over 10% in the last 24 hours of trading. Currently priced at $0.17, it has seen a decline of 12.7% from its earlier high of $0.19. Regrettably, the announcement from Binance Futures has coincided with a nearly 6% drop in the token’s value within the past hour.
Conversely, since the announcement of the perpetual contracts on Binance Futures, PLUME has risen by 4%. Nevertheless, it has experienced almost a 10% decrease over the past day. Plume’s native token is currently trading at $0.204.
On March 17, YZi Labs, the investment arm of Binance, revealed its investment in Plume Network, a modular blockchain aimed at bringing real-world assets on-chain. According to their statement, Plume boasts over 18 million wallets engaged in its testnet and has collaborated with more than 180 protocols.
Just two days later, the value of Plume’s native token soared to a new all-time high of $0.24.
