Bitget is now the official sponsor of professional racer Flávio Sampaio for the 2025 Porsche Cup Brasil. The logo of the exchange will appear on a Porsche racing vehicle.
A recent announcement reveals that Bitget will become the first cryptocurrency exchange to secure a sponsorship spot in the Porsche Cup Brasil 2025. This championship, recognized as the largest Grand Touring series in Latin America, is set to commence its opening race in April 2025.
Through this collaboration, Sampaio’s assigned vehicle—the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup—will showcase the distinct black and cyan blue colors of the crypto exchange. Equipped with a powerful 510CV engine, the car’s high-performance mechanics symbolize the company’s dedication to efficiency.
Flávio Sampaio shared his enthusiasm regarding Bitget’s sponsorship for this racing season. He anticipates that this partnership will draw more motorsport enthusiasts into the world of cryptocurrency.
“There are often parallels between sports fans and crypto investors. I believe we can forge an intriguing link between these two realms,” Sampaio stated.
In the last 24 hours, the BGB token has seen an increase of over 2%, rising to $5.09. Over the past week, it has surged by 8.14%. Additionally, the daily trading volume has jumped by 34.4%, approaching $148 million, evidencing heightened market activity.
The CEO of Bitget, Gracy Chen, expressed her hopes that this partnership will enhance crypto adoption in the area, given that the tournament draws a significant number of Brazilian motorsport fans and sports lovers alike.
“Partnering with a motorsport professional in a series renowned for its precision and competitiveness enables us to connect with an audience that values both technological innovation and calculated risks,” Chen noted in her remarks.
Bitget recognizes Brazil as a particularly promising market, especially considering the recent surge in cryptocurrency adoption within the country. Data from Chainalysis indicates that, as of 2024, Brazil has risen to the position of the second-largest nation in Latin America concerning cryptocurrency transaction values, closely trailing Argentina.
Recently, Brazil put forward a proposal permitting employees to request up to 50% of their salaries to be compensated in cryptocurrency. This groundbreaking legislation would also require employers to offer educational resources on virtual assets, helping employees understand the associated risks and price volatility of cryptocurrencies.
