Armstrong, who has opted to represent himself legally, claimed that the threatening emails prompted the judge to deactivate her social media accounts.
Nonetheless, officials in Florida have not unveiled specific charges against him or mentioned anything about his legal representation.
BitBoy’s previous legal troubles
This is not Armstrong’s first encounter with legal issues.
In September 2023, he was arrested during a live stream outside a former partner’s home, alleging that the person had stolen his Lamborghini.
Apart from his personal legal predicaments, Armstrong has also come under the scrutiny of regulatory bodies. In July 2023, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a subpoena to Hit Network, a crypto media outlet he was previously associated with.
During his stint at Hit Network, Armstrong endorsed several tokens, including the memecoin BEN, many of which experienced significant downturns.
Furthermore, Armstrong has been embroiled in lawsuits concerning defamation and financial disputes.
He once filed—and later retracted—a defamation suit against a content creator. In April 2023, he was summoned before a judge for purportedly harassing opposing legal counsel in a class-action lawsuit.
