In spite of a general decline in the market, the non-fungible token (NFT) sector is demonstrating strength, with sales volume rising by 4.5% to reach $102.8 million.
During the past week, Bitcoin’s value has fallen below $83,000, while Ethereum remains steady around the $1,800 mark. The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies stands at $2.71 trillion, a decrease from the previous week’s $2.77 trillion.
Data indicates that last week’s NFT sales volume was $100.9 million, suggesting a slight recovery for the industry this week.
There has been a significant jump in NFT buyers, increasing by 28.9% to 451,436, while the number of NFT sellers has risen by 26.5% to 285,272. However, the total count of NFT transactions has dipped by 2.8% to 1,614,680.
Ethereum retains its leading role
The Ethereum (ETH) blockchain continues to hold its top position, generating $32 million in sales, a 19.4% increase from the previous week.
Polygon (POL) ranks second, achieving $18.1 million in sales volume with a robust increase of 33.1%. This shift has pushed Solana (SOL) down, as its sales have decreased by 4.4% to $8.7 million.
In third place is Mythos Chain, with $13.7 million in sales despite a 12.8% decline from the week before. Bitcoin (BTC) follows in fourth place with $10.1 million, experiencing a significant 40.7% drop in NFT sales volume.
Ethereum continues to dominate concerning wash trading, amounting to $2.6 million, although this represents a 9.9% reduction from the previous week.
In collection rankings, Courtyard on Polygon takes the lead with $15.7 million in sales, seeing a 33.1% growth. DMarket is in second place with $8.5 million in sales, down 18.3% from last week.
CryptoPunks has the most remarkable increase, with sales soaring by 141.4% to $6.3 million. The collection gained further attention with the week’s top individual NFT sale – CryptoPunks #2967 sold for 420 ETH ($843,070).
Guild of Guardians Heroes occupies the fourth position with $5.5 million in sales, a slight decline of 1.8%. Rounding out the top five are Bitcoin’s BRC-20 NFTs, which made $2.7 million in sales, down 19% compared to the prior week.
