The Chief Financial Officer of Zodia Custody, Jonathan Hugh, has left the London-based company earlier this year, as confirmed by a representative of the firm. Additionally, Samuel Howe, who previously served as the COO, has also recently exited the cryptocurrency custodian.
“Jonathan has been an essential part of the Zodia Custody team for the past two years, and we truly appreciate his extensive expertise, commitment, and counsel during a significant growth phase for the company,” a spokesperson conveyed in an email statement.
“While such changes are typical in business, our organization continues to expand. In 2023, Zodia Custody employed 97 individuals. We have since increased our workforce to 140 employees worldwide, and we plan to strengthen our footprint in existing markets while venturing into new ones in 2025,” the spokesperson further elaborated.
Hugh did not reply to a request for his comments before the publication deadline.
Before his tenure at Zodia Custody, Hugh held the CFO position at the cryptocurrency market maker GSR.
His background includes work in commodities with ED&F Man and Noble Group, as noted in his LinkedIn profile.
Zodia Custody is supported by Standard Chartered Bank, SBI Group, Northern Trust, and National Australia Bank.
