The globally popular battle royale shooter has introduced a new secret mine location for “Dill Bits” in its latest map update, sparking a minor surge in an otherwise low-profile memecoin.
Social media posts reveal a fresh “Dill Bit” server farm within the game, designed to resemble a cryptocurrency mining operation. This isn’t the only spot on the map where it can be found.

Players can harvest Dill Bits by demolishing the mining equipment, making it a rare resource that’s often challenging to acquire.
Dill Bits memecoin boost
The Solana-based memecoin Dill Bits, inspired by the Fortnite in-game currency, surged 200% to $0.0005 on April 4, capturing the attention of the crypto community due to the recent addition.
Dill Bits were initially introduced as an in-game currency in February as a playful nod to cryptocurrency, but they can only be used to purchase items within the game.
At the time of the in-game currency’s announcement, an anonymous crypto enthusiast created a corresponding token on the Solana network.
However, the latest rise is nowhere close to previous spikes. When the memecoin debuted in February, its price soared by 4,500%, reaching a market cap of $4.8 million.
Another significant increase for the memecoin occurred on March 9, coinciding with the game’s release of a promotional video for its new “Rugpull” narrative, resulting in a price jump of over 4,000% in just a few minutes.

The underground Bitcoin mine features banks of green servers emblazoned with the Dill Bit logo, which bears a striking resemblance to Bitcoin’s symbol.
One gamer shared a video on YouTube on April 1 detailing all the secret mine locations on the map, indicating that destroying these servers might yield Dill Bits.
“Wow. Bitcoin is really hitting the mainstream for a game like this to include such an easter egg,” commented one player on Reddit after discovering the secret site on April 3.
This gimmick may not be entirely new for players, as other hidden server mines have surfaced in various areas of the map since the introduction of the in-game currency.
According to sources, the Dill Bits Mining Server is an “Unnamed Location” that was integrated into the game in Chapter 6: Season 2, situated on the island of Oninoshima near Outlaw Oasis. It is described as a “small cave containing servers mining a cryptocurrency known as Dill Bits.”

Fortnite’s in-game currency overview
Dill Bits, the in-game currency, can be utilized “at one of three Black Markets scattered across the map, offering a range of Mythic and Legendary items,” along with “Boons” that provide additional abilities, as clarified by the game’s team at the time.
An in-game description characterizes Dill Bits as “a bulky and perplexing crypto coin you never realized you needed. These coins are perfect for dubious black-market transactions.”
